A Hellesdon mum of six has beat competition from 14 other entrants to win a selection of sports kit and the chance to be professionally trained to take part in the Pinewood Leisure Triathlon on October 6.
Kath Kendrick, 60, was kitted out with a selection of triathlon gear from Pilch Sports worth £400, including running shoes, socks, shorts/trousers and a swimming costume and has also received three months initial membership and training at Pinewoods Park Leisure complex in Upper Sheringham, where she will be coached by staff at the leisure complex and Positive Sport.
Kath, pictured on the left with Guy Metcalf, Steve Dickenson and Pilch Sport's Jim Stevenson, said "it was amazing to be chosen and I am delighted. I do see it as a challenge and I will try my best. It was such a good prize and I thought what a good opportunity to have a personal trainer for three months and get fit."
The event will feature a 300m swim at the complex, 17km bike ride and a two-mile run. For more information about the triathlon, please click here.
