Steiff bears are the original teddy bear! The ethos behind each Steiff bear is that only the best is good enough for children, which is why each teddy bear is made to such a high quality.

Under the umbrella of "Teddies for tomorrow" we actively address the issues of sustainability and alternative materials.
The haptic quality of the plush products must be maintained, and the ecological footprint must be further improved.

More About Steiff

The question of the best alternative plush material has not yet been answered, but we are taking on this task.
In cooperation with Steiff Schulte, one of the last weaving mills in Germany, we are developing such materials, made of paper, hemp, linen or bamboo. In 2020, the first Steiff animals were made from these materials, and many more have followed to date.

 Steiff bears are the product of first class craftsmanship at each stage from the design, which copies appearance and movement of animals as realistically as possible, to being individually hand finished. As you might expect from such a prestigious brand, all Steiff bears are subject to meticulous testing and inspection before being rewarded the famed button in the ear, as a mark of quality. We stock a wide range of Steiff bears in our Norwich store including a range of teddy bears and other animals.
