Amy is Apprentice of the Year!
Amy Newson is part of our Visual Merchandising team and last week was awarded Apprentice of the Year by Norwich City College, due to her hard work, commitment and passion for the role.
Local employers who have shown outstanding support for training, alongside students who have excelled in their vocational qualifications, were celebrated at City College Norwich’s VQ Day Employer Awards event at The Forum. The awards event was held as part of the nationwide celebration of vocational qualifications, VQ Day. Now in its fifth year, VQ Day recognises the value of vocational qualifications and celebrates vocational achievement.
Amy said, “I was a little bit shocked to win the award, but very happy. It’s nice to be acknowledged and that all of the hard work has paid off.”
Dick Palmer, Principal, City College Norwich, said:
“City College Norwich is all about vocational education - getting people the right skills and qualifications to enter the workplace or move up their chosen career ladder. VQ Day is rightly a major celebration of success for our students at the College.
"As well as being our chance to join the national celebration of vocational qualifications this is, moreover, a great opportunity to highlight the fantastic commitment of employers in Norfolk to supporting vocational excellence.”
Congratulations to Amy for this amazing achievment, well done!
