A full house at The Forum was treated to festive music from the Norwich Young Persons Theatre Voices choir, Norfolk's own Olly Day, and the Blue Sueders with Elvis.
The 20-strong Norwich Young Persons Theatre Voices choir got things off to a great start with a mix of carols culminating in an amazing performance of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.
Sadly Michael Bublé tribute Dale Bullimore was taken ill but local legend Olly Day stepped in to the breach, having been temporarily displaced from the storm-damaged Cromer Pier. He entertained the audience with a mix of Rat Pack songs and jokes, but Olly Day can really sing, as shown by his rousing Nessun Dorma.
Local Solicitor Mark Fitch is Elvis. He brought lots of Vegas sparkle to seasonal songs like Blue Christmas and It’ll Be Lonely This Christmas backed by delightful Blue Sueders and many of the appreciative audience merrily got up and danced along for the whole set.
The event is organised by Jarrolds in support of the Jarrold Staff Charity Challenge. This year's Carols with the King will benefit Norwich Alzheimer’s and the Nancy Oldfield Trust.
