October Wine of the Month – White
2021 Yalumba Samuel’s Collection Viognier, Eden Valley, Australia
Viognier is one of those special varietals that you just don’t encounter every day. Yalumba, a pioneering winery in Australia, has been mastering the art of Viognier since the 1980s.
The result? A pure, aromatic wine with a bouquet of fresh apricots, floral hints, and a whisper of ginger. The Viognier’s stone fruit flavours with a suggestion of saffron make it a perfect companion for Moroccan tagine, roast pork, or vegetarian dishes.
Priced at £19.00, with a special Wine Club price of £15.20
This wine offers an elegant taste of Eden Valley’s high-altitude vineyards—ideal for enjoying now or for cellaring a little longer.
October Wine of the Month – Red
2021 Ricasoli Antico Feudo Della Trappola, Tuscany, Italy
With roots dating back to 1141, the Ricasoli family vineyard is one of the oldest in the world. Their Ricasoli Antico Feudo Della Trappola blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot is a fantastic expression of Tuscany’s winemaking tradition.
This wine boasts a balance between the fruit-forward brightness of Sangiovese and the deep, complex notes of Bordeaux-style blends. While it cannot be classified as a Chianti, it fits squarely in the Super Tuscan category, offering a bold, layered experience.
At £16.25, with a Wine Club price of £13.00.
This red is perfect for pairing with the finest foods or even a simple platter of aged cheeses.
Special Feature | 2020 Yalumba The Cigar Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

The wine takes its name from Coonawarra’s cigar-shaped strip of unique red terra rossa soil, home to some of the most iconic Australian wines. This particular vintage bursts with blue and black fruits, layers of spice, cedar, and a hint of clove on the finish.
