Meet Denby's Craftsman Thrower
Denby's craftsman potter, Sean Flint, will be carrying out potting demonstrations on Saturday 6 November from 10am-3pm on the lower ground floor.
Sean will be demonstrating the traditional craft of creating pottery by 'throwing' on a potter's wheel using Derbyshire clay, which has been used to make all Denby's famous stoneware pottery for over 200 years. There will also be special offers across our Denby ranges to celebrate.
Denby's craftspeople, like Sean still use many traditional hand-crafting techniques and time-honoured skills with each piece of pottery passing through at least 20 pairs of hands before it gets the Denby stamp of approval.
