About the Author

Britannica Group is a global education leader with over 250 years of dedication to seeking out facts and providing insight into the mysteries of the universe. Britannica's mission to inspire curiosity and the joy of learning helps build the world's future thinkers and innovators.

Josy Bloggs began her initial career as a graphic designer. After graduating from the University of Huddersfield in 2009 with a MA in Spatial Design she went on to work as an interior designer for commercial clients. Josy is based in Yorkshire.

Emily Cox is an illustration graduate from Falmouth University, currently based in Sussex. She enjoys mixing media, working both digitally and traditionally and her work often centres around colour, overlaying texture, loose brushwork and scribbly marks.

James Gibbs studied illustration at Cardiff School of Art and Design. He works with a combination of bold, graphic illustrations (often with a splash of lettering for good measure) to create playful imagery inspired by the mid-century children's adventure books and packaging. James currently lives and works in London.

When not busy doodling, Liz Kay is usually found hiking and biking around the Yorkshire countryside and playing tennis for her local club. Some of Liz's clients are Time Out, Jamie Magazine, Radio Times, Quantas, Walker Books, Pearson Education, Conde Naste, City Of Sydney Council, Experience Wakefield, Calderdale Council, Metro, John Brown Media, Apartment Therapy, Risk Magazine, Oxford University Press, Quality Chartered Institute and Lonely Planet.
