Introducing Jarrolds Le Blanc Sparkling Wine: A Celebration of Local Excellence

We believe in offering products that showcase exceptional quality and celebrate local craftsmanship and our newest own-brand sparkling wine, Le Blanc, is a testament to this.

The flavour profile

Le Blanc captivates with its delicate aromas of white peach, fragrant wild blossoms, and a whisper of spice.

On the palate, layers of wild strawberry and zesty citrus unfold, balanced by a creamy texture and subtle notes of freshly baked brioche. Made from a classic blend of Chardonnay (60%), Pinot Noir (30%), and Pinot Meunier (10%), this wine offers sophistication in every sip. Its versatility makes it a delightful aperitif, while its complexity pairs beautifully with fish, chicken, and other light dishes.

Why we chose Winbirri

When selecting a partner to craft Le Blanc, we sought a vineyard that shares our dedication to quality and local heritage. Winbirri Vineyard stood out as the perfect choice. Known for their award-winning wines and meticulous attention to detail, they embody the passion and craftsmanship we value. Their reputation for excellence, combined with their commitment to sustainable and minimal-intervention winemaking, ensures that every bottle reflects the best of Norfolk’s wine production.

 Winbirri Vineyard: A Norfolk Treasure

From Humble Beginnings to Global Recognition

Founded in 2007 by Stephen Dyer, Winbirri Vineyard began as a family-run venture with a dream of producing exceptional English wines. That dream flourished when Stephen’s son, Lee Dyer, took the helm in 2010. Lee’s background in viticulture and hands-on approach transformed Winbirri into one of the UK’s premier wine producers. The vineyard’s dedication to quality has earned them global recognition, including the prestigious “Best Single Varietal White Wine in the World” at the 2017 Decanter World Wine Awards.

Winbirri’s philosophy is rooted in a balance of tradition, innovation, and nature. Grapes are hand-harvested at peak ripeness to ensure the finest quality. The méthode traditionnelle is used to create Le Blanc, involving a secondary fermentation in the bottle for fine, elegant bubbles. Aged on lees for four years, the wine develops its luxurious creamy texture and refined character while maintaining vibrant freshness.

Winemaking at Winbirri is a family affair, with six family members deeply involved in every aspect of the process, from vine to bottle. This hands-on, nurturing approach ensures that every wine is crafted with care and precision.
