With a 90-mile coastline, there are so many beaches to enjoy in Norfolk. Whether it’s a lazy day at Hunstanton, going crabbing on Cromer Pier or enjoying the wildlife at Holkham, there is plenty to enjoy this August.
Memories are made with sandy toes and salty chips so grab a couple of towels and a picnic for the perfect summer day at the beach. Big Days Out on the Norfolk Broads
The Norfolk Broads are a beautiful National Park with over 125 miles of navigable lock-free waterways. Set in the Norfolk countryside, meandering through charming and picturesque towns and villages, the Broads offer a great day out for the month of August.
With a wonderful history and full of wildlife, it’s no surprise the Broads welcomes over seven million visitors each year. Live music across Norwich
The music festivals may have been and gone but enjoying some live music as the sun goes down on a lazy August evening sounds like a great way to enjoy August in Norwich. With a wide variety of venues from Bedford’s Bar, The Halls and Norwich Arts Centre, you’ll be sure to find something to relish, appreciate or discover.

A Grand Affair in Norfolk
Norfolk has a fantastic legacy of stately homes which are all open to the public. From the Royal Family’s private country house, Sandringham, to Houghton Hall with its outdoor sculpture park, there is wealth of variety and adventure to be found on these extensive grounds.
Founded by Ex England Rugby Stars Will Greenwood and Austin Healey, the Festival of Sport at Holkham Hall gets families active with sports including hickey, rugby and athletics, whatever your ability. Its not just constrained to sports but includes a silent disco, outdoor cinema and pop-up campsite – what a great way to spend time together!
Food, farming and the countryside are three strong elements to the Norfolk identity, and you will be sure to find plenty to educate and entertain at the one-day event, The Aylsham Show. Taking place on the Blickling Estate, it’s a day for everyone with livestock and horses, the Food Hall and local arts and crafts. It is a jam-packed day with programmes and displays for all ages.
