Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I book treatments?

Depending on your treatment, the frequency of bookings will vary. Below is an idea of how often you should book treatments:

  • Waxing - 4-6 weeks
  • Facials and massages - 4-6 weeks
  • Manicure and pedicures - 2-3 weeks

Your beauty therapist will be able to advise how often you should book your treatments.

Should I shave my beard for a facial?

No, you don’t need to shave your beard ahead of your facial. However, if you do shave, it is best to do this atleast 1-2 days prior to your appointment. This is because freshly shaved skin can make your face too sensitive for a facial.

How can I prevent ingrown hairs after waxing?

Some people experience ingrown hairs after hair removal. To help prevent this, we recommend the following:

  • Wearing loose clothing after your wax
  • Avoid using lotions that could irritate your freshly waxed skin
  • Gently exfoliating your skin, 72 hrs after your wax, to remove dead skin cells
  • Moisturise to soften your skin

What should I wear for a massage?

Going to and from the appointment, people often prefer to wear loose and comfortable clothing. This is because your skin will be slightly oily after the massage.

For a full body or back and shoulder massage, the massage therapist will wait outside the room for you to remove your clothing except for your underwear.
