Now at the Forum Shop by Jarrold we have a gorgeous new range, from Parlane and local textile designer, Lisa Bliss which features bags, aprons, oven gloves, soft furnishings and more. Read on to learn more about the range...
Lisa Bliss studied Textiles at the Norwich School of Art and Design where she fell in love with printmaking, what she claims to be ‘the perfect medium’.
She’s always had a love for old objects and vintage ephemera and her favourite place to draw is the natural history section in museums, where the animals are always still and quiet, giving her enough time to capture all their intricacies and charm! But, she is always awestruck at how whimsical and carefree animals are out in the wild. She lives out in the Norfolk countryside where there’s always a source of inspiration outside on a walk somewhere. Lisa’s work has been on display at a number of exhibitions around London and Norwich and has also been featured in The Observer Magazine, The Times and The Daily Mail.
Parlane teamed up with this talented textile designer nearly a year ago after spotting her work at the International Spring Fair in Birmingham. They thought her beautiful and intricate illustrations were perfect for adding even more exclusive and original designs to the Parlane collections.
The first of these designs is ‘leaping hare’ whose character currently features on a range of products that we are now proud to stock in our Forum shop, including an apron, tea towel, cushion, oven gloves and various bags.
