The Charleston Bulletin Supplements - Virginia Woolf and Quentin Bell
RRP £12.99
Jarrold price: £9.99Fans of Virginia Woolf and the Bloomsbury Group will be delighted - and probably a little surprised - by this new book. In 1923 Woolf's young nephews, Quentin and Julian Bell, founded a family newspaper. Quentin asked his Aunt Virginia for a contribution and for the next four years they created a whole series of booklets, all written by Woolf and illustrated by Quentin, never properly published until now. This charming book provides a full transcript of the Supplements, along with many of Bell's original illustrations.

The Quarry- Iain Banks
RRP £18.99
Jarrold price: £14.99
Many people have been moved by the way Iain Banks reacted to the news of his cancer and by the things he has said publicly about his condition over the past few months. Banks didn't live to see this book published, but he did at least see a finished copy a few days ago. His final, very moving novel is the story of a man dying of cancer, though ironically most of the book had been written before Banks received his own diagnosis.
