Description & Specifications

Explore the amazing world of bridges, from ancient stone arches to modern marvels, and see how they connect our world.

A fascinating journey into the world of bridges, this large-format book is perfect for any budding young architect. From striking modern marvels like the Golden Gate Bridge and the Millau Viaduct to historic stone arches like the Ponte Vecchio, discover how these ingenious structures shorten journeys, save us time and effort and offer breathtaking views.

As well as learning about bridges spanning deep valleys, raging rivers, bustling roads and vast seas, this book explores the evolution of bridge-building, from the first fallen tree across a river to today's engineering wonders.
